Enable Whitelisting for a Collection

Whitelisting is a useful tool that lets you select a group of customers (for example, your most loyal or returning customers) to purchase your NFT collection before the general public. This ensures that they will be able to get the collection before it sells out.

By default, listings will not display on the marketplace until their designated start date, so in order for whitelisted users to be able to access the collection early, we first must allow the collection to be previewed ahead of time.

Navigate to the edit listing page for the collection.

First things first, you'll need to go to the collection detail for the collection you would like to be included in the whitelist. You can do this by selecting "NFT Collections" from the side nav, then searching for your desired collection.

Once you are on the collection detail page, you'll want to scroll down until you see the "Current Listing" box over on the right. It is located to the right of Preview Files, just beneath Creator Details, and just above Tokens.

From there, click the "Edit Listing" button.

Update the listing configuration to allow whitelist purchases.

Once on the edit listing page, you'll want to make sure of a few things.

First, ensure that the "Listing Start Date/Time" is set for a point in the future. This is the date and time at which your collection will go on sale to the public. If this is not set, then anyone will be able to purchase your collection as soon as it is published.

Next, you'll want to click activate the "PREVIEW listing before ability to bid/buy" toggle. This will cause the listing to display in your marketplace prior to the start time defined above, but it will not be purchasable.

In order to make the listing purchasable for select users, you'll have to activate the "ALLOW PREVIEW PURCHASE for whitelisted customers" toggle. This will ensure that any of the customers whitelisted on your marketplace account will be able to purchase this collection before the start date.

Finally, to make sure that the collection displays on the marketplace, you need to ensure that it is published. To do that, activate the "PUBLISH this listing live now" toggle.

Once you've done all of the above, click "Save Changes".

In addition to selecting "PUBLISH this listing live now" from the edit listing page, you'll also need to activate the "PUBLISH this collection - it will be visible even if there are no active listings." toggle located in the Display and Marketing Information area of the collection detail page.

Add customers to your whitelist.
